Leadership Team

 CHAIRMAN - CORY GRASS
Cory Grass is a lifelong Monroe County resident, proudly calling this community home for 47 years — with the exception of five years spent serving at the Federal Bureau of Investigation's (FBI) Miami, Florida Field Office.

Cory’s career in public service began as a part-time police officer at Indiana University (IU) while completing his undergraduate studies. He went on to serve with the Bloomington Police Department, all while earning his master’s degree from IU. His dedication to protecting and serving others led him to a distinguished 20+ year career as an FBI Special Agent.

During his time with the FBI, Cory worked on the Violent Crimes Task Force in Miami and the Joint Terrorism Task Force in Indianapolis. His work also focused on counterintelligence operations and managing confidential human sources. He was a member of a tactical team in Miami and served as a hostage negotiator in Indianapolis, playing key roles in high-profile events — including four Super Bowls and various other major operations requiring extensive planning and coordination.

After retiring from the FBI in 2022, Cory transitioned into the private sector, building a successful career as a Realtor and becoming an owner and Chief Operations Officer of a small startup company. His passion for leadership and public service remained strong, leading him to campaign tirelessly throughout the past year. Most recently, Cory joined the staff of Lt. Governor Micah Beckwith as the Governmental Affairs Director.

Now, as the newly elected Chairman of the Monroe County Republican Party, Cory is committed to driving positive change, strengthening conservative values, and working hand-in-hand with the community to build a brighter future for Monroe County. His leadership, experience, and dedication make him a strong advocate for the people and the principles that matter most.
